Came across an interesting article on an emerging biometric identification technolgy using EEG and its potential for abuse.
EEG Identification Can Steal Your Most Closely Held Secrets

Some Quotes:
"EEG-based authentication systems utilize specific features, or markers, of brain activity to identify a person"
"those markers also contained sensitive personal information—in this case, a tendency for alcoholism"
"[Wearable brain measurement] is an application that’s just about to go mainstream, and you can infer a lot of information about users.”
'Skullcaps' with electrodes are available for this - no spending hours attaching individual electrodes. Between this, wearable computers, and IoT I wonder where the destination is. Granted the technolgy has a way to go before becoming mainstream, but instead of drug testing and Internet background searches, will they simply require a DNA test and an EEG? New levels of government monitoring of citizens? Or I am being big time paranoid?
