In this tutorial I’m going to share with you how to find stock images for free. You can use these images as much as you like. Consider your stock images, yours for the taking.

How to Find Free Stock Images to Use Online!

Requirements: Google Chrome

Step #1

In this step I’m going to share with you an advanced search string — one that I’ve used for quite sometime, that helps me to locate free stock images to use in my blog posts, pdf guides, ebooks, etc.

In the following advanced Google search string — you need to replace *keyword* with the keyword you’d like to use to search for certain types of images. For instance, if you’re a Real Estate company, then you’re going to be interested in home images, etc. So — you would want to replace the *keyword* in the following search string with “homes”.

Following Is My Advanced Google Search String

Go to Google and enter the following code into the search bar. (replace *keyword* with your actual keyword.)

Code:
inurl:istock | inurl:shutterstock | inurl:bigstockphotos | inurl:jupiterimages | inurl:dreamstime | inurl:fotolia | inurl:canstockphoto | inurl:inmagine -site:istock.com -site:shutterstock.com -site:bigstockphotos.com -site:jupiterimages.com -site:dreamstime.com -site:fotolia.com -site:canstockphoto.com -site:inmagine.com *keyword*

Then click on images. Then select large images only.… (see the image below)

Step #2

Don’t worry — this is an easy process and it works like a charm.

Right click on the Google search bar and click on edit search engines

Now simply scroll to the bottom of the search engines list, there you should see three empty boxes.

You should see something that should be similar to the below screen shot.

You’ll now need to fill in these three empty boxes. You need to:
  • (1) enter in a custom name (something that you’ve come up with)
  • (2) a keyword (this keyword will be something that you can later enter into your search bar to activate your search engine
  • (3) copy and past the following url into the last box.

Here’s The URL:
Code:
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=inurl:istock+%7C+inurl:shutterstock+%7C+inurl:bigstockphotos+%7C+inurl:jupiterimages+%7C+inurl:dreamstime+%7C+inurl:fotolia+%7C+inurl:canstockphoto+%7C+inurl:inmagine+-site:istock.com+-site:shutterstock.com+-site:bigstockphotos.com+-site:jupiterimages.com+-site:dreamstime.com+-site:fotolia.com+-site:canstockphoto.com+-site:inmagine.com+%s&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch

Copy and paste the link into the third empty box.

Now you can click Done!
