Best Colour scheme to use on a website?

I was wondering what are the best colours to use on a website and what other colours match well with them.

It can be quite hard to find the correct colour for a website and for it to fit the theme of the website. Like trying to choose a colour scheme appropriate to music or something a long those lines.
