This may be the wrong forum to post these questions - if so, please feel free to yell at me ;-).
I was searching the site for these answers, could not find them for looking. Putting some web pages together, Gigarank looks like a better Free Shared Hoster than most (2 free web hosters I am using I am concerned with and may move from). Before I apply, want to make sure I do not accidentally break any rules when uploading. Not using Wordpress or anything fancy, just plain old boring static HTML.
On your Free Shared Hosting, what are the verboten file types? If I apply and am accepted to host on Gigarank, pages will be primarily programming tutorials (was a Systems Analyst, now a hobby). Would be uploading program source files (*.d, *.pas, *.for; these I wrote and would be placing in the public domain) for user download; see http://rrroberts.atwebpages.com programming links for examples. Are batch files (*.bat) and PKZIP files (*.zip) acceptable? Some free hosting sites do not allow these types.
One more question please. On pages I would upload, I would include a link to http://www.gigarank.net with an embedded link to http://www.gigarank.net/images/gigalogo.png to promote your hosting. Any DCMA or other IP problems with that?
