Before I go on to the story, let me state that I simply do not have the money to actually pay for a domain and the VPS I'm using to host certain stuff(like a game server). On to the story.
A few months back, I was looking for a free domain and saw dot.tk giving free tk domains. I then thought it shouldn't give any issues for the price, thus I went with it. Thus came about my first domain, tncnetworks.tk.
A few months past, and I signed up with CloudFlare. A couple of weeks later, I saw your advertisement for free web hosting and jumped on the deal(I won't deny I was originally eyeing for the VPS though.) and all is great. Then I had to remove CloudFlare as it was disruptive, but that's another story.
Then after switching back to Freenom's DNS service, I found out that I couldn't even access my site. I then though this was normal, as the TTL is set to 4 hours(14400). So I tried again the next available time I was awake, and my site was still down. On top of that, the only working part of my site(web.tncnetworks.tk) also went down. Any links using the domain also were down, with no hope of working again.
Despite waiting for a few DNS refresh periods, the site still remains down and is as such even currently. I'm currently looking for alternatives(probably difficult).
Moral of the story: Freenom is the biggest pile of s***, and nobody should use it for anything.
